Vigenère Cipher

The Vigenère cipher is a polyalphabetic substitution cipher that uses a keyword to shift each letter by a different amount. It was considered unbreakable for centuries until Friedrich Kasiski published a method to crack it in 1863. A single-letter key produces the same result as ROTx. Non-alphabetic characters are preserved and do not advance the key position.
